Un arma de fuego y una cantidad de marihuana fueron incautadas en la tarde de ayer en San Juan, durante ejercicios policiales en el distrito.
Los ejercicios formaron parte de una “Operación Contraataque” dirigida por ACP Belfon.
La operación resultó en el descubrimiento de una pistola Luger, cargada con dos cartuchos de munición de 9 mm, debajo de una barra en San Juan. También se encontraron ocho rondas adicionales de munición de .22 mm, así como más de 500 gramos de marihuana.
El arma y la munición se encontraron debajo de un bar que se está renovando en Second Street, San Juan, mientras que la mayoría de los hallazgos de marihuana se realizaron en el mercado de San Juan.
No se detuvo a nadie en relación con este hallazgo.
Sin embargo, solo una persona fue detenida por posesión de drogas, ya que llevaba 83 gramos en su persona.
El límite legal de posesión de marihuana por individuo en este país sigue siendo de hasta 30 gramos.
Otras dos personas fueron detenidas por investigaciones relacionadas con robos.
La operación también incluyó a Snr Sup Maharaj, Sup Alexander, Sup Ramjohn, ASP Beharry, ASP Archibald, Insp Bharath, Sgt Mitchell, Sgt Martin, Cpl Dhill, Cpl Daniel, Cpl Ali y otros.
